WHAT? § What can I recycle? Ø Glass containers- onlyaccepted at DAC or the transfer station o RECYCLE:Food-containing jars, salad dressing bottles, condiment bottles, juicecontainers, pop bottles, beer bottles, liquor bottles, wine bottles, etc. o DO NOTRECYCLE: Mirrorglass, window glass, crystal, drinking glasses, light bulbs, ceramics,ovenware, broken glass, etc.
Ø Aluminum and tin o RECYCLE: Soft drink cans, juice cans, beercans, food-containing cans/lids, aluminum foil, empty spray cans, disposable bakeware, etc. o DO NOTRECYCLE: Pots &pans, baking pans, cans containing hazardous materials (paint, varnish,sealers, etc.), etc.
Ø Plastic bottles o RECYCLE: Milk& juice jugs, soft drink bottles, water & juice bottles, laundrydetergent bottles, shampoo bottles, cleanser bottles, food containers, plasticswith a recycling symbol, etc. o DO NOTRECYCLE: Contaminated plastics (from motor oil, paint,gasoline, antifreeze, etc.), plastic bags of any kind, plastic toys,Tupperware, medical supplies, laundry baskets, plastic cookware & utensils,polystyrenes, prescription bottles, etc.
Ø Paper and cardboard o RECYCLE: Cardboardboxes, chipboard material (frozen food boxes, pop & beer cases, cerealboxes, shoe boxes, etc.), office & writing paper, telephone books,newspapers & magazines, paper bags, junk mail, etc. o DO NOTRECYCLE: Food stained cardboard, packing material,Styrofoam, etc.
